The focus for the day included the company and product strategies in the morning with major product highlights and detailed product demonstrations in the afternoon. The focus was placed on CATIA Creative Design and ICEM products which included CATIA Shape, CATIA Live Rendering, Natural Sketch, and others.
The morning started punctually - almost a German stereotype of punctuality, with Pierre VILLA, responsible for CATIA Shape sales in Europe, welcoming the designers and providing details for the day. Philippe Laufer, the CATIA CEO, launched directly into the company's strategic objective to become the 3DExperience company as well as touching on how Dassault values and nurtures the CATIA design community.
Xavier Melkonian, Director, CATIA Design solutions, provided the vision and solution overview for CATIA Design as well as demonstrations with the support of his team of key products with design family including CATIA Imagine & Shape, CATIA Live Rendering, CATIA Natural Sketch, CATIA ICEM, ICEM Surf, and of course the integrated workflow environment in the V6 platform. In between these presentations, Mr Arne Leetz, head of surface and visualization at Volkswagen, presented attendees with some key lessons and experiences from Volkswagen's design group.
The Dassault team shared the spotlight often with several partners. These partners, Wacom, Object, and NVIDIA provide essential technologies and products to the creative design community.
